Orientation
Continental Plumbing, Inc. understands that construction in general can
sometimes place you in hazardous situations. That is why every new field
employee (no matter what level) must go through an intense and comprehensive 4
hour safety orientation. This orientation assures that all new employees
are aware of potentially hazardous conditions and of what to do in those
situations. They are made aware of the company's safety policies and
procedures (what is expected of them); they are also issued a hard hat, safety
glasses, ear plugs, and are reimbursed for steel-toed boot purchases.
Safeguards
Even though each one of our team members is responsible for their own personal
safety and that of their coworkers', Continental Plumbing, Inc. has put many
safeguards in place to ensure that one employee's "bad day" does not
reduce the awareness of safety on the job site. Management, at all levels,
is held responsible and accountable for their subordinates' actions.
Continental Plumbing, Inc. also has in-house and unannounced safety inspections
that include a follow-up visit for any necessary correction. All of our foreman
are required to be 1st Aid/CPR and CAL-OSHA Competent Person certified.
Communication
Continental Plumbing, Inc. team members at all levels are encouraged to
communicate all suggestions and ideas that could enhance or better safety,
production, and morale.

facility. Along with orientation and safety meetings, the classroom is
