APPRENTICES, JOURNEYMEN, & FOREMEN
Continental Plumbing, Inc. believes in people, full benefits, and a living wage. We demand and provide a full upward career path for our employees and apprentices. Almost all of our apprentices go on to become successful foreman at our company (and others). Some have even gone on to become industry leaders, owners of their own companies; in fact, most of our current, largest and most successful competitors are ran by our former employees and apprentices. Congratulations, Continental Plumbing Alumni.
Our goal is to teach and inspire individuals to become craftsmen that will take pride in the trade of plumbing. This is a 4 year program, requiring a minimum of 144 hours of class time per year and on the job training hours. Registered apprentices starting base wage is $21.55/hour for private wage and $25.16/hour for prevailing wage and increases at eight different periods as curriculum, class hours, and on-the-job training are completed. Increases, depending on OTJ hours and class completion, average approximately $3.07/hour every six months for private wage and $4.76/hour every ten months for prevailing wage. Registered apprentices also receive medical, dental, vision, and a chiropractic plan for themselves and their dependents; and a $10,000 life insurance policy.
